What We’re Building
Rice husk boards are eco-friendly building materials made by recycling the outer shell of rice grains — called rice husks — which are usually thrown away after harvesting. Here’s how they work, simply put: The rice husks are cleaned, ground, and mixed with natural or synthetic binders. This mixture is then pressed into strong, flat boards using heat and pressure. The result is a durable, water-resistant, and termite-resistant board that can be used like wood — for furniture, walls, ceilings, or flooring. In short, rice husk boards turn agricultural waste into sustainable, affordable, and eco-friendly alternatives to plywood or MDF.
